Do not wait until August to complete the physical; physicals can be completed starting on April 16th. You can download the official MHSAA Sports Physical form below; a doctors version of their physical form CANNOT be accepted - only the MHSAA version is accepted. Sports Physicals are turned in during Equipment Distribution in August - do not turn in your Sports Physical during registration. Please keep a copy of your child’s Sports Physical form - you may need it for other sports.

Can I coach my own son's/daughters team?
Yes, however only the Head Coach's child can be placed on a team prior to the draft.
Do we need other volunteers?
Yes!!! This is a volunteer based program so it cannot exist without parental support. Volunteers are needed to assist with coaching football and cheerleading. We are also in need of parents willing work with the teams, work at the concession stand during games, act as the P.A. announcer during home games, help with Spiritwear, fundraising, homecoming parade, pictures, video, and 'chain gang' on the field. Each football team will also need an 'On-field Player Coordinator' to assist coaches during the games. Please contact any board-member for a list of needed volunteers, or email us
Can girls play?
Yes, girls are welcome.
How are player positions determined?
This is ultimately the coaches decision and is based on many things including player size, speed, experience, and most importantly safety. We will get player/parent input and every attempt will be made to place the player at their position of choice.
Is any effort made to make sure everyone gets to play, at every game?
Yes, The MMRFL mandates that a player must play at least 10 plays per game and this is a minimum.
Can siblings in Cheer and Football be placed on the same teams?
If the Cheerleader falls within the same age requirements for a division as the Football sibling, then the cheerleader will be placed on same team. However, if cheerleader's age places them at Freshman level division (for example) and the Football Player is on JV , then they will be placed on the Same COLOR teams. In this case the Cheerleader would be on a Freshman squad with the same color team, as the Football Player on JV, allowing them to travel to the same locations.
How long is the season and how many games?
The season starts Aug 15th and ends with the last game Oct 22nd. Games are scheduled for Saturdays starting September 10th thru Oct 22nd. Each team will play 6 games with 1 'bye-week' (no game); there will be 3 home and 3 away games. Games times are 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 7pm, with each team playing one game each Saturday.
Why are there only 6 games?
The MMRFL establishes their rules based on the MHSAA rules which state that children under 9th grade cannot play more than 6 games in a season.
When will we get a game schedule?
Exact game schedules will NOT be available until the week of September 6th.
Where will games be held?
Home games will be held at Grand Blanc Middle Schools, East and West. Away game locations will be communicated prior to the start of the season.
When will practices be held?
All football teams will practice at the same time and location. Football practice will typically be held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Practice ends at 7:00pm once school begins.
Note: Cheerleading practice will be held twice a week , same location as Football Players, Tuesdays/Thursdays Only, 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Practice ends at 7:00pm once school begins.
Why do we practice 4 days a week?
We practice 4 days a week for many reasons, football is a contact sport and it takes time and repetition to teach proper tackling/blocking technique which are important from a safety standpoint. Football also has more than 22 positions that need to be taught and again this takes time.
Where will practice be held?
Grand Blanc GM Plant on 10800 S. Saginaw (just south of Kohls).
Will there be fund raising?
There will be a fund-raising effort throughout the season including concession sales at home games and other sales. Local businesses can also sponsor the Grand Blanc Youth Football program.
Can I attend Board Meetings?
Yes, we meet monthly and the public is welcome. Please see our calendar for dates.
