2014 Registration Begins Monday April 14th

Online registration for the Grand Blanc district area begins on April 14th. Beginning May 1st, we will accept registrations for participants outside of the Grand Blanc district.

First come first served basis - team sizes are limited

The Grand Blanc Youth Football and Cheerleading program will soon be taking registrations for 2014 season.  GBYF is a member of the Mid-Michigan Rural Football League (MMRFL), a full recreational Youth Tackle Football League, which was established in 1990.  Currently this league consists of 22 areas with over 120 teams, complete with cheerleading.

GBYF places an emphasis on teaching Grand Blanc Football Fundamentals.  These are fundamentals that each player will carry and build on, as they move on to Middle School and High School Football.  The MMRFL follows MHSAA rules, games are officiated by MHSAA officials, and played on REAL 100 Yard Fields.

Our season begins in mid-August and lasts until the end of October.  We practice 4 evenings per week; games are on Saturdays.

Online Registration and Payment again for 2014

Registration and Payment will take place only ONLINE.  There will NOT be any onsite registration.  In order to register for the 2014 GBYF season, you must have a PayPal account or Credit Card - Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Checks and Cash are not an option for payment.

Please visit the PayPal website for more details.  If you do not have a credit card, you will be able to set up a PayPal account that links to your bank account.  GBYF will never see your bank or credit card information.  Please make sure you have your credit card or PayPal account setup and verified BEFORE registration opens.

2014 Registration Process

  1. Parents MUST register ONLINE and submit payment. There will be no onsite registration this year - only online registration. Payment will be processed through PayPal - you can pay your registration fee through a Credit Card or PayPal. Register Early - team sizes are limited!!
  2. All payment for registration, football jersey and cheer hoodie will be processed at the time of online registration. No Checks or Cash accepted.
  3. Cheerleader bows are included in the registration fee, however, cheer accessories (cheer shoes, briefs, bodysuit) are still ordered through MC Sports of Grand Blanc
  4. Receive conReceive confirmation email after registration. The email serves as your receipt and confirmation that you are registered. You will be added to the GBYF 2013 Email Distribution List at that time. Email will contain key information such as Mandatory Parent Meeting details and participant supplied items needed before practice begins. Sibling Discount code is provided in the confirmation email.
  5. Attend Mandatory Parent Meeting on Tuesday May 27th. Important information is reviewed with parents, coaching applications are received, Spirit Wear orders placed and questions answered. If you have questions regarding the jersey or hoodie sizing, we can address questions at the Parent Meeting.
  6. Complete Sports Physical. Each participant must complete a MHSAA sports physical before they can pick up their equipment. Sports Physicals must be completed AFTER April 15th, 2014.
  7. Turn in copy of Birth Certificate, Sports Physical, Sign Paperwork and Pick up Equipment during the week of August 4th. A PARENT/GUARDAIN must accompany the participant to Equipment Pickup so paperwork can be signed. Details to be provided during the mandatory Parent Meeting.

Registration Fee: (Football)

  • $130.00 first participant
  • $120.00 additional siblings

Registration Fee: (Cheer)

  • $100.00 first participant
  • $90.00 additional siblings

GBYF will NOT be having a mandatory fundraiser again this year. The registration fee makes up for the money raised during the fundraiser in the past.


Your child's football division will be based on their age and weight. Cheerleaders will be assigned based on age.

  • Freshman: 8 & 9 Year olds, Max weight 90 lbs. (Must be 8 years of age on or before December 31st, 2014. Must not turn 10 on or before August 15th, 2014)
  • JV: 10 - 11 Year olds, Max weight 120 lbs. (Must not turn 12 on or before August 15th, 2014)
  • Varsity: 12 Year Olds, Max Weight 170 lbs. (Must not be 13 years of age on or before June 1st, 2014)


Cheerleaders: Will be placed on appropriate division, based on age. (Must be 8 years of age on or before December 31st, 2014. Must not be 13 years of age on or before June 1st, 2014)
